The LPAT Study is now running

Our study of language processing following severe traumatic brain injury, funded by the Medical Research Council, is now recruiting participants from admissions to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. Over the course of one-year, we will recruit 50 participants in the early days of recovery from coma. By recording their brain responses to speech and then following their progress for one-year, we hope to identify new markers of recovery that can help families and clinicians make difficult care decisions in the early days after injury.

You can find more information about the LPAT study (Language Processing After Trauma) on our dedicated site, which we'll keep updated as the next two years progress.
